My journey to a simple life of less started with three things:
A loss of control over how big my life was getting.
An understanding that I was no longer living within my means.
A heartbreaking realization that I was contributing to the fast-approaching death of our planet.
Which made me take the following actions:
Beginning to eliminate the amount of stuff I own.
A commitment to stop spending my hard-earned money on useless stuff.
A decision to make more choices to benefit, rather than deplete, the earth’s resources.
Not to brag, but I’m kind of a #localcelebrity. The local news did a story about me and my low-waste life and it was all kinds of awkward.
I’m not perfect, but I am pretty pumped that I’m being asked to support other people as they undertake a lower impact life.
Coming soon: my tips and strategies for becoming zero waste. In the meantime, check out a 30-day challenge I created for a local group that I did a presentation for!
